Is there a limit to this? When does it all stop? Somehow Chevy has figured out how to make people not want to buy Chevrolet.
Also, if you use your “work truck” for “work”, why wouldn't you have a $20 bed mat? Or, huh, I don't know, don't dump tons of bricks into the back of your truck? Or don't throw your toolbox?

Plastic cargo bed liner over spray-on bed coating ... and as you said, don’t drop stone cubes from three feet above the cargo bed ... aaaaand who sets a long, empty -or full- hand-tool box diagonally on a cargo bed rim??

Who loads landscaping bricks that way? It’s guaranteed to damage the bricks, and considering they’re used because they look nice that’s not good.
The thing to pull away from that commercial is if you’re loading stuff with a skid-steer, buy a dump truck so you don’t ruin your pickup’s bed.

Steel and aluminum suck. They should try plastic instead :p

now give it 10 years and see which bed rusts out completely after removing the paint like that.

I think the “most powerful tool” one might be more stupid. This one is quite stupid though.

Is there a limit to this?
Apparently there is no limit to how many times this will be shared on Oppo ;)

Has it been shared before? I've seen the Emoji one countless times but not this

We are all lessened by the fact Saturn never got to build a pickup. Or maybe an SC ute?

Hey GM, Land Rover would like to have a word with you about using Aluminium for work trucks...
The bodies tend to last longer...

Was just throwing bricks at my neighbor’s aluminum NSX and can confirm its resilience was crap. Like my granpappy used to say, “it’s wrought iron or naught iron for me”.
![]() 06/08/2016 at 16:38 |

Yeah I just had a go at my neighbors F150 with a sledgehammer. If have to agree with yo “granpappy”

Not adapting to new technologies has historically been very successful for GM.

If I were GM, I’d be attacking Ford over their real problems with aluminum.
![]() 06/08/2016 at 23:20 |

I'd go for repair costs. Take a sledgehammer to the fender/tailgate/door of a Silverado and one to an F150, and compare. If I were Ford I'd go for the statistics in weight savings, fuel economy, blah blah.

I agree, it’s dumb!
